Has your life been touched by adoption?

Have you felt the roller coaster of emotions?

What was it like for you? Love? Pain? Joy? Sadness? Broken heart? Fierce protection? or?

Please tell us your adoption story.

We can learn from all of them how to make the Orphan Community project better for the children and the parents. Comments? Stories?

Send them to us at:   www.orphansdreamteam.org

  1. Peter Lee says:

I adopted a child with multiple physical and mental disabilities.
He passed away recently and I started writing a book. One of the articles in the proposed book is on the hurts felt by children/orphans with disabilities and is based on the song “Nobody’s Child”.I have been trying to locate the copy right holder of the song for permission to use the song in my book : I will list the lyrics and then explain in detail the hurts of children/orphans with special needs (refering frequently to the boy mentioned in the song.)
I got your the URL for your website through searching for “Nobody’s Child”.Your website uses a video of Karen Young’s version of the song. Did you have to get permission from the copyright holder? Can you let me know how to contact them and/or the song writers, Cy Coben and Mel Foree?

As for your request for stories or personal experiences with adoption, I will be pleased to forward to you a copy of my proposed book when it is published. The book has several articles on how the boy with multiple disabilities was able to overcome his hurts and has brought so much blessings to his adopted family and to many other people.

    Thank you.
